    Talos is a Linux distribution built for running Kubernetes developed by Sidero Labs.

    Talos offers a secure, immutable, and minimalistic foundation. It supports cloud platforms, bare metal, and virtualization platforms, making it versatile for various deployment scenarios.

    After seing Talos in action at KubeCon Paris 2024, we are really impressed by the simplicity and have had a lot of joy testing this in our different cloud/virtualized and bare metal environments.

    They also have a SaaS offering (Sidero Omni) making it easy to get started with Talos.


    We look forward further test Talos further in scenarios where we can't or don't want to use Kubernetes managed services (AKS, GKE, EKS). Either due to cost or security restrictions.
